About
“Sarungal” (Kites) is a 2018 Sri Lankan Sinhala drama and romantic film directed by Nalaka Vithanage. The film was produced by Tharanga Athuraliya and A. Parister under Niro Films and features music composed by Ranga Dasanayake. The story centers around the complexities of love and relationships, following a young couple who meet at a nightclub and begin a relationship. However, as they face the realities of life, their bond is tested, revealing the challenges and strains of maintaining love in the real world
The main cast includes Charith Abeysinghe as Milinda, Chamathka Lakmini as Asanki, and Saranga Disasekara as Bhanuka. Supporting roles are played by Shalika Edirisinghe, Soorya Dayaruwan, and Janaka Ranasinghe. The cinematography was done by Manjula Kumarathunga, with Thilanka Perera handling the editing.
